We had a great time during our visit in Cody and at Cross Sabres in August.. Both our daughters really enjoyed the horse ride while my wife and I toured Yellowstone.
All the staff was very friendly and it was nice to socialize after the day was over in the bar, game area.
Food was delicious and the cabin we stayed at was very clean and inviting.
Thank you again for some great memories.

Our Yellowstone Vacation July 2012
Date: Sat 11 Aug 2012 Posted By: The Davises

We were sooo happy we chose to stay at Crossed Sabres.  Although the website is great and I loved the fact that it actually showed inside and out of the cabins I was still a little nervous that it wouldn't look like it did on the web.  It was exactly like the web, even better! We stayed 2 nights in the Mountain Goat cabin.  It is adorable! It was clean, comfortable(the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on) and roomy for my husband and I. The staff is the friendliest and nicest people you will ever meet.  The homecooked breakfast each morning was a real treat.  Dinners were delicious as well.

I would highly recommend this ranch and if I ever get back to WY I will definately stay here again.  Thank you all for the great jobs you do and your hospitality.  We will never forget this vacation

Thank you!

Anyone wishing to go horseback riding in the beautiful mountains of WY, please stop here! The entire staff are the warmest and most down to earth people you could meet and the horses are excellently trained and cared for. Our wrangler, Terry, entertained us for hours and we returned refreshed with a song in our hearts and on our lips. Next visit, we will stay on site for sure! Two enthusiastic thumbs up for Crossed Saber Ranch!

Cherished Memories 1975

I'm so happy to have stumbled upon your new website.  I thought it was all she wrote after I heard of the fire in 2004.

I spent a week at Crossed Sabres in 1975 with my family.  I was 9 years old.  That week in Wyoming is etched in my memory; The daily horseback rides through the mountains, the overnight pack trip, singing John Denver songs by the campfire, sleeping in my clothes because it was near freezing on that June night, hoping to avoid bear, the spring fed meadow in the mountains where we napped the next day, the chuckwagon dinners, the rodeo in Cody where I tried to catch a greased pig, the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody and the square dancing on Friday night.

I hope to bring my own family back someday.....until then, I know that you are creating wonderful experiences for many lucky guests.  Wyoming is truly God's Country.

Great Time

If any one is looking for a unique place to stay other than a "motel" this is the place. Nestled in the woods of the Shoshone National Park just a short distance from the east entrance of the Yellowstone National Park is Crossed Sabres Ranch. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The setting is rustice but safe, comfortable and clean. The guy in the kitchen calls himself a cook, but he is really a chef. I had the best walleyed fish dish I have ever had and the cheesecake is to die for. After meals you can visit with others on large front porch or just sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. My husband and I took the 2 hour horseback ride through the mountains. It was very safe and enjoyable. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful time. Pkinslow   Lebanon, Tennessee

If you are looking for a unique experience other than staying at a "motel" this is the place for you. Nestled in the woods of the Shoshone National Forest just a few miles from the entrance of the Yellowstone National Park is the Crossed Sabres Ranch. This is about as rustic accomdations as you can get and still be safe and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The guy in the kitchen calls himself the "cook" but he is really a chef.  He prepared the  most wonderful walleyed fish dish I have ever had and the cheesecake was to die for.  The large front porch is a great gathering place to visit with other guests or you can just sit and enjoy the amazing view of the mountains. The ranch is very family oriented. My husband and I took the 2hr horse ride one morning and it was a very safe ride through the mountains. We would like to return again some day.  P. we came across the ranch on the way out of yellowstone.  we promised our kids we would take them on a horse ride.  the sign said vacancy and horse rides so we stopped.  I am so glad we did.  everything was great and the hospitality could not have been any better.  wished we had found this place when planning our trip.  the kids had a ball and loved playing in the creek.  Even though we only stayed one night it sure felt like you were surrounded by family and friends.  I would highly recommend crossed sabres to everyone.  thanks again!!

Bounty, Jo and Crew of the Crossed Sabers,

We had a great time at the ranch and enjoyed meeting the entire crew.  Just wish we could have stayed longer.  I really enjoyed the cabin and all the great food.  Hope to come back next year and do some fishing and more riding.  The location of the ranch provides such beautiful views and is so peaceful and relaxing.  Tailwinds!

We spent two nights late in June and had a wonderful time.  Our granddaughter especially enjoyed the trail ride and the veggie burger you cooked her!  We were in the Buffalo Cabin and loved it.  This was a great starting point for our exploration of Cody and Yellowstone.  Many thanks for a great time.
